Daily Pacific Builder Article – Drone Photography March 15, 2016
We were honored to be featured in an article about the Golden 1 Center in Daily Pacific Builder.
The article highlights the teamwork between The University of Illinois and Image In Flight to create a predictive visual data analytic tool that streamlined construction progress tracking.
This new construction solution uses images captured with the UAS (drone) and four-dimensional Building Information Modeling (BIM) to communicate performance and problems that naturally arise during construction projects. Managers are able to see the data with smartphones and tablets both on and off the construction site. The drone photography added a new perspective for construction managers.
“This drone helped us meet our goals, manage production schedules and costs and provided a resource that connected our partners like never before.” says Kings President Chris Granger.
The Golden 1 center will be completed by October 2016.
